Orbital Illuminate & The Box

Just to show the diversity of the music Orbital makes: first up is their track ‘Illuminate’, from 2001. ‘Illuminate’ gets played every now and then on Stubru lately I’ve noticed :) This is the original video, enjoy! Second video is one of their best known tracks: ‘The Box’, from 1996. I have ‘The Box’ on vinyl :-)

Orbital back together

Orbital, the UK electronic band consisting of brothers Paul and Phil Hartnoll, is back together after they split in 2004. They are true pioneers in electronic music, and have given us several unforgettable tracks. This is my favourite: “Halcyon”, from 1992. It still gives me shivers all over when I listen to it. Nevermind the crappy YouTube video, the sound quality is ace :-)

My mobile phones: past and present

mobilephonesWell, the most recent ones only (from left to right): Samsung D900, Nokia 6300, Sony Ericsson T700. There’s no real use in posting about my Nokia 3310. Three phones, spanning over a period of three years, all two of them in perfect working order. I like my phones slim and slick, with a decent camera.

Update: There’s a problem with my current phone, Sony Ericsson T700. I have no sound when I get a call or text message. The phone isn’t in silent mode, and can play ringtones and mp3s just fine. I tried resetting, tried updating the firmware (there are no firmware updates at this time). So, I’ll have to send it in for repair.
