Tired of the look of your XP desktop? Good old WindowBlinds is back in town with a new release! According to Stardock, the company behind WindowBlinds, version 5 consumes LESS memory than the standard XP desktop. And as far as I can check, it’s true … only 450 kb
Give it a go!
WindowBlinds 5 introduces a broad range of new features, including per-pixel alpha blending, resulting in smooth or glassy title bars and borders that realistically distort the content behind them; as well as the ability to change toolbar icons, progress animations and the hue and saturation of the Windows interface.

We’re back home since Monday night! It was a very pleasant journey through the “golden land” of Myanmar. A report will follow soon. To give you an idea, you can already see the pictures here or through the link in the Images section.
Portable Firefox allows you to carry your whole web browser along with all your bookmarks and extensions with you on an iPod, USB thumbdrive, portable hard drive or any other portable media. You can plug it right into any Windows computer and use it just like you would on your own. It is a repackaged version of the popular Mozilla Firefox browser designed with portability in mind, so it has all the same great features of Firefox, but there’s nothing to install.

Véro, myself and four friends are off to Myanmar tomorrow. If possible I’ll try to post something from there, but internet access is limited. Since this will be my first trip to Asia, I’m rather nervous about what to expect
Here’s an extract from the Myanmar Tourism Promotion Board site:
Myanmar sits at the crossroads of Asia’s great civilisations of India and China, and looks out onto the vast Indian Ocean next to Thailand. One of South East Asia’s largest and most diverse countries, Myanmar stretches from the sparkling islands of the Andaman Sea in the south right up into the Eastern Himalayan mountain range.
To this day Myanmar remains one of the most mysterious and undiscovered destinations in the world. A land of breathtaking beauty and charm yet only recently emerging into the modern world. What can the casual visitor therefore expect upon arrival, and why should one embark on such a journey in the first place?
Myanmar offers all the traditional delights of Asia in one fascinating country. Virgin jungles, snow-capped mountains and pristine beaches, combined with a rich and glorious heritage spanning more than two thousand years. Spectacular monuments and ancient cities attest to a vibrant culture that is still home to 135 different ethnic groups.
See you soon and take care everybody !
