foobar2000 is an advanced audio player for the Windows platform. It’s very light on system resources, and can be adjusted to your personal needs and taste in many ways. Some of the basic features include full unicode support, ReplayGain support and native support for several popular audio formats. Changes in this version:

* Updated Musepack decoder with support for accurate fast seeking on files produced by mppenc 1.16 and newer.

aMSN Messenger 0.96

aMSN Messenger is a multi protocol, free and open source messaging program. It’s available for a wide range of operating systems.

Finally, the long-awaited 0.96 release is out! It contains several bugfixes to the release candidate, most important ones being: a) you can now send files to Windows Live Messenger users b) the connectivity checker is a lot more reliable. If you are upgrading from 0.95 and skipped the Release Candidate, you will also find support for the new protocol MSNP12 (with support for Personal Messages), enhanced webcam logs, ability to see your contacts’ display pictures in the contact list, new menus, etc… Enjoy!

mIRC 6.21

The most popular IRC client for Windows got a new release! mIRC is a shareware IRC client for Windows. It is developed and copyrighted by Khaled Mardam-Bey. mIRC is a highly configurable IRC client with all the goodies other clients on UNIX, Macintosh and even on windows offer, combined with a *nice* and clean user interface. mIRC offers full color text lines, DCC File Send and Get capabilities, programmable aliases, a remote commands and events handler, place sensitive popup menu’s, a great Switchbar, World Wide Web and sound support, and… a lot more. mIRC is shareware but not crippled in any way…

Internet Explorer 7.0 (dutch)

Windows Internet Explorer 7 has now been released in Dutch too. Do keep in mind that Windows Internet Explorer 7.0 only works on Windows XP with Service Pack 2 installed, or on Windows 2003.

Gaim 2.0 beta5

Gaim is a free and open source messenger program, for almost all existing protocols. Gaim 2.0 Beta features a rewritten status system, smooth scrolling, support for advanced MSN Messenger features like nudges and Yahoo Doodle, improvements to file transfer under AIM and ICQ, support for Apple’s Bonjour, and even voice over IP capabilities. Audacity 1.3.2 beta

Audacity is a free audio editor that can record sounds, play sounds, import and export WAV, AIFF, and MP3 files, and more.
