Songbird is an open-source customizable music player that’s under active development. It’s come a long way and it’s actually quite enjoyable now. Don’t run Songbird on a computer with less than 1 gb of ram however. Songbird is available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. The most noteable change for me in this release is this: you can choose to watch a folder hierarchy for changes and the content will auto-magically be imported in your library. If a file is removed from the watched folder, the corresponding track will be deleted from your library. Previous versions of Songbird needed a plugin for this. Read on for the whole shebang.
