Bon Echo Alpha 2, the second development milestone of Mozilla Firefox 2 aimed at developers and testers, is now available. Seven staff in the one building have been diagnosed with brain tumours, and everything seems to be pointing to the mobile phone towers located on the roof. The building is owned by RMIT University and an investigation is taking place. Five of the seven staff worked on the top floor of the building. Medical experts contacted by The Age Newspaper said no definitive link had been proved between mobile phone tower radiation and cancer.

The update fixes a problem with the code generated by Dreamweaver when it inserts active content such as a Flash file in a web page. In the latest versions of Internet Explorer, the generated code by Dreamweaver does not allow users to interact with the active content unless they click it. The update fixes the code generated by Dreamweaver so that users don’t have to click the active content. The update also provides a way to repair the code of existing pages with active content.

Paint.NET is a freeware graphic editing tool.

Another one of those programs I can’t do without: FileZilla, the best free ftp tool out there. Since it’s hard to keep up with their wave of new releases, I decided to wait a bit until things calmed down a bit. This is the freshest: version 2.2.22! Already released on April 20th.
