Gmail doubles attachment size

Gmail has doubled the maximum allowed attachment size to 20 megabytes. Which is nice. However, few other email providers will accept messages this big. But I think it’s just a matter of time before the likes of Windows Live Hotmail or Yahoo will follow. Anyways, feeling bwuurk all week …

Opera 9.21

Opera is a free, light and above all good browser. Mozilla Firefox is slow compared to Opera, and the Opera pop-up blocker just works, where in Firefox that isn’t always the case. If you have a website, and if you use the web seriously, you should have Opera installed on your computer. The one thing is doesn’t have: extensions …

Site news

I’ve upgraded Wordpress to version 2.2, and started using those nifty widgets to organize the sidebar. There’s now a calendar, showing the date when a post has been made. Archives can be found at the bottom, in a drop down menu.

Notepad++ 4.1.1

Notepad++ is a free source code editor (and Notepad replacement), which supports several programming languages, running under the MS Windows environment. The features I like the most are: the syntax highlighting, and being able to open multiple files in tabs.

Fixed bugs and added features from version 4.1:

* Fix the unnecessary memory consuming (not memory leak) while find in files operation.
* Enhance Find in files feature: Insert the default value to filters and Directory fields automatically while launch or switch to Find in file dialog.
* Fix the crash bug while double click on find in files result.
* Link clickable feature is optional (in Preferences->MISC).
* Fix crash problem while search in all opened file in multi-view mode.
* Fix Close button misplaced problem in Find dialog.
* Change the plugin behaviour: different users can have different sets of plugins, besides the basic set. Notepad++ will load the plugins from %APPDATA%\Notepad++\plugins\ directory, in the case of absence of “doLocalConf.xml”.

Television junkie

Sunday nights always seem to be packed with interesting things to watch on television. For what it’s worth, this is my selection for tonight. 1) “Panorama“, Canvas, on cocaine trafficing to Europe. 2) “Ancient Rome: The rise and fall of an empire“, Canvas, on -yes, indeed- Rome. 3) “De zaak Jo Lernout“, Een, on Lernaut & Hauspie director Jo Lernout. And at last something a bit less serious: 4) “CSI Miami“, VT4, with the always funny Horatio Caine. “I’m Horation Caine and this much I know: at CSI Miami we never close.” Three of these programs air at almost the same time, so the Digicorder will have to do it’s work …

When the ceiling came down

I no longer feel 100% safe at work…
