Ubuntu is a community developed, linux-based operating system that is perfect for laptops, desktops and servers. It contains all the applications you need – a web browser, presentation, document and spreadsheet software, instant messaging and much more. The main Ubuntu uses the Gnome desktop, Kubuntu uses the KDE desktop and Xubuntu uses the Xfce deskstop, and is also suited for older computers. The best about all this: it’s free, and there’s a huge community out there waiting to help you in case you run into problems.

RIP Zanna
As unbelievable as it may seem, Zanna got hit by a car yesterday or the day before. Only three weeks after Cezaar. She was carrying little kittens due any day now. If I find the person responsible for this, I will personally kick out all of his teeth with my bare hands. Fucking drive slower and more carefully !

The Greatest Switch … not the sound
I’m listening to the Studio Brussel’s The Greatest Switch right now, a chart of the hundred best dance tracks, chosen by the listeners. And fuck me running, what is wrong with the sound? Their limiter is acting up weird, and the attack time is set way too slow. If you don’t understand what I’m on about, don’t worry. If you do and you’re listening, you’ll know. However, it’s better now than at the start. By the way, Emmanuel Top, with Acid Phase, is also in the top 100, hooray

Sorry for the delay in posting this, it’s been out for almost ten days now. Opera is a free Web browser with a pop-up blocker, multiple-window navigation, mouse gestures, keyboard shortcuts, an e-mail client with a spam filter, and integrated search for user security and speed. OpenOffice.org 3.0
After the usual bunch of alpha’s, beta’s and release candidates, Openoffice.org 3.0 final is here. The most notable change is the support for docx, xlsx of pptx files from Office 2007 for Windows and Office 2008 for Mac OSX. I’ve noticed a speedup in the startup time too, both on my modern home pc and my older work pc.
