After I installed Vista Service Pack 1 on my dad’s Acer Aspire M3610-ZE7Z desktop pc, I ran into one very peculiar problem. Everything worked, except for the mouse cursor. FrostWire is a free Gnutella and bittorrent client based on LimeWire distributed under terms of the GPL. FrostWire available for Windows, Mac OSX and Linux. Version 4.17.0 is a major update, but there’s no changelog yet.

K-Lite Codec Pack is a collection of codecs and related tools. Codec is short for Compressor-Decompressor. Codecs are needed for encoding and decoding (playing) audio and video. It is designed as a user-friendly soluction for playing all your video files. You should be able to play all the popular movie formats and even some rare formats. After more than six months, there is a new test version out of the filesharing program SoulSeek! Hooray for weird versioning by the way ‘NS 12d’ … the NS (new server) client offers numerous optimizations and bug fixes, and a fair number of new features over the original client. Both NS and original clients may be installed and run side by side. This app seems to have fallen off the radar of the big sites, since I’m one the first posting about this release

aMSN Messenger is a multi protocol, free and open source messaging program. It’s available for a wide range of operating systems. There are more messengers out there than the official ones, try them! aMSN is one of the few that has working webcam support. The dev team is already working on aMSN 2, with a whole new look. Version 0.97.1 is a bugfix release.
